The Minden-Tahoe airport is located in the Nevada valley just east of the Sierra mountains that surround Lake Tahoe. If you are staying on the Nevada side of Heavenly, or in a vacation home surrounding the casinos in Stateline, then this is probably your airport of choice. It's also an excellent alternate for South Lake Tahoe airport (TVL) when the weather is bad up at the lake. When it’s blowing snow sideways in the mountains, the valley around MEV can be relatively nice.
